Crossing Antarctica

A group of six men are about to try to be the first people ever to walk across Antarctica by foot. They are using three differently designed dog sleds each with a dog team of twelve. Their expedition started with an expedition to the north pole and then a trip to King George Island. It is a seven week trip and they have over three tons of food including 2070 pounds of hot chocolate mix! In the town that they are staying at before they set out, it is 10 degrees and the expedition starts at noon.
